Colt Police Positive .38 S&W "Erie Railroad Police" Markings
A nice piece of history with this Colt pistol. It was issued to policemen of the Erie Railroad Company as marked on the butt. The pistol was made in 1916 and shows some wear and scratches in a few places but overall is in good condtion and functions perfectly. We have seen these "railroad guns" steadily increasing in value and becoming highly valuable. Everything on the gun is original with the grips being in noticably fine condition.
Sourced from the collection of a well known local historian and collector, this weapon has been well maintained and cared for.
