Unless otherwise stated, our guns are not test fired as we have no facility for that. We inspect the firearm and it's action to see if everything appears functional but they are sold without warranty. Unless the item is listed as being sold AS-IS, there is a 3 Day Non-Shooting Inspection Period which starts when the item arrives at your dealer. No shooting, no disassembly. Visual inspection only to confirm correct item and that it matches description in major ways. Minor differences in subjective matters like percent of condition, etc, and personal opinions like ergonomics, fit to your hand or shoulder, etc, do not justify returns. Once you take the item home it is yours and no returns will be allowed. Items listed with AS-IS label are not returnable. We will not issue refunds for unknown mechanical problems. Here is a C Sharps Arms Co Inc Old Reliable - 45-70 Govt. This rifle is marked C Sharps Arms Co Inc, Big Timber Montana USA 85-886 in the side of the receiver. The barrel is marked Old Reliable and has the company name repeated along with 45 CAL 2-1/10. It has an awesome tang mounted Verneer peep sight with a rotating disk that allows for the changing of the aperture size. The front sight is case colored and is a tube style with a aperture inside. The barrel is 34" long and is 1-1/8" in thickness. The bore is excellent. The rifle is very heavy and there is a 1.5 lb mercury recoil reducer in the butt. There is a 1.5" crack on the stock where it meets the receiver but it still feels solid. This would make a super long range bench or buffalo rifle. $60 shipping.
