Description:
24 inch extra light weight rapid taper barrel chambered in the desirable 45-70 caliber with full length magazine tube. Gun features a take down frame. Crisp tight action and an excellent bore. Flat top sporting rear sight and number 6 Lyman hunters front sight. Also fitted with a Lyman side mount receiver sight. Sights are listed on the Factory Letter. Deluxe checkered walnut stock with hard rubber buttplate. Wood retains most of the varnish. Checkering is sharp. Barrel and mag retain about 97% blue. Receiver has about the same with some dulling on the takedown ring and the front area. Hammer and lever retain bright case colors. On the side of the stock is a plaque with "John G. Leonard". This is just a beautiful gun inside and out. Would be hard to improve upon.
