Description:
This rifle was made by Vern Frederikson, a well respected gunsmith in the Rock Springs Wyoming area, about 10 yrs ago. Vern is nomore but the quality of his work lives on. This is a Remington 700 338-06 a friend payed $2K for then totally negected good maintenence ethics in my opinion. The 24" Douglas premium barrel bore is excellent but the extierior has very small spots of rust scattered along it's length as I tried to show in my pictures. The stock is stained fiddleback Maple with Dark Walnut gripcap and forestock tip on white spacers. Nice Wundhammer swell on the grip. A little carry blue worn on a small portion of the floor plate. The stock has hunting use scratches and small dents as shown. Pachmeyer Decelorater with 13 3/4" LOP. Gun is 8 lbs as shown. It shows well from a short distance as you can see but here's a guy that should have his butt kicked IMHO. Vern made me a 35 Whelen on a 98 commercial action and Walnut stock and it still looks nice. The 338-06 can be hunted with as is or reblued etc. to your standards. $50.00 S&H and Insur to the lower 48 to the FFL holder of your choice.
