Payment Types Accepted: M/C, VISA, American Express and Discover Description: "Serial Number A Company 74. Made in 1847. 44 caliber with a 9" barrel. This is a fantastic example of a Colt Walker. This gun is nice and sharp with clear markings. Metal has been cleaned. 50%-70% of the original cylinder scene remains. Grips are excellent with good visible cartouches. Loading lever has been replaced, but loading assembly is original. This was very common as most of the Colt Walkers were converted to a Colt Dragoon style catch. Later collectors would convert them back to the original Colt walker style levers, but often would replace the entire assembly. This gun originally appeared in the 1939 Quick listing of Walkers as being in the J. C. Harvey collection. It was featured in the book A History of The Colt Revolver by Charles Haven and Frank Belden. It reappeared in 2003 as being in the Robert Petersen collection. Mr. Petersen was a billionaire publishing mogul who only had the finest guns in his collection. Along with this gun comes a letter of authentication from Colt expert Herb Glass. Mr. Glass has authenticated most of the Walkers know today. This is a very attractive walker in very fine condition. Colt Walkers rarely come on the market these day and in approximately in the last two years, none have sold for less than $500,0000. This is an opportunity to own a truly great authentic Colt Walker!
