Pistol Made Circa 1945 in Zella-Mehlis, Germany
Here we present a C&R Walther PPK, made for World War II circa 1945, in Zella-Mehlis, Germany. The PPK, or Polizei Pistole Kriminal, was a direct descendant of the slightly larger PP, or Polizei Pistole. The PPK was a smaller handgun designed for concealment for detectives, and it featured a capacity of 7 instead of 8 when chambered in 7.65mm (.32 ACP).
When WWII began, many different organizations within the Third Reich Party and outside made use of these handy and reliable pistols. The PPK was the small pistol most famously used by the fictional spy, James Bond, but was also the pistol supposedly used in Hitler’s alleged suicide.
The overall condition is good. Excellent action. Bright bore. Numbers match. The markings are sharp. Both grips are in fine shape. This pistol features two “Eagle” military proof marks on the right barrel and frame.
