#4992 Colt S/A 7-1/2”x32WCF, 180XXX range (1898) with a VG+ bore, about a 7+ on a scale of 10 and also having a tight smooth action with all the clicks on the hammer. The overall smooth thinning plum-brown metal has no faults at all except for some very insignificant “dings” by the barrel caliber marking and looks to have had good care all of its 122 year life. It does have VG markings with a strong and correct “block” barrel address, Rampant Colt frame logo, the serial numbers and correct later style two-linw patent dates are all very decent. Standard hard rubber grips with only light wear overall and look really good. Overall, this long barreled Colt is MUCH above the condition of most of the Single Actions that are usually found priced in this same age and price range, and is a rather scarce caliber when found in the 7-1/2” length and being a very handsome antique revolver! VG+ $3495
