WW2 WWII SPRINGFIELD M1 OR M-1 GARAND RIFLE RECEIVER CIRCA FEBRUARY 1942. Serial number “5299xx” crisply struck with same address above. Leg markings are crisp. Some pitting on underside where it meets wood (typical for South Pacific). Original factory phosphate finish fading at edges. Crisp barrel threads with original battle sights and clip release button. Very nice beginning of war M-1 Garand candidate for rebuilding.
