PRE WW2 WWII U.S. SPRINGFIELD M1 M-1 GARAND RIFLE RECEIVER CIRCA AUGUST 1940. Serial number “6148x” crisply struck below address. Crisp leg markings and barrel threads along with sight knurlings. Parkerized finish redone by US arsenal as well as heel annealment. Small amount of pinprick salt and pepper where underside meets wood. Nice candidate for pre- WWII M-1 rebuild.
