Description:
Serial #450577, .32 RF, 20" barrel with a fine, bright bore that has a few small spots of dark freckling along its length. The barrel of this September, 1929-made rifle retains 92-95% of the original blue with the balance turned to a mellow plum-brown and silvering at the muzzle. The frame has a commensurate amount of original color case-hardening with scattered surface freckling and some fading along the edges. The walnut stock and forend are in very good condition with scattered small handling marks, and two with-the-grain cracks at the wrist tang; one on top, and one beneath. An area of moderate surface oxidation is present at the heel of the buttplate. The original sights are still installed, including the flip-up tang peep sight, and the action is fully functional. This is a handsome example of a neat little Remington boy’s rifle. FFL or C&R
