Description:
For sale is a early Winchester 1894 .30 WCF  rifle with a 26" octagon barrel which appears to have been factory replaced as indicated by a rework proof stamp on the top of the barrel. The bore is bright and retains strong rifling. The barrel bluing is 95% with some light pitting on the top and left land of the barrel. The rest of the metal is typical of a 120 year old gun with light pitting throughout. The wood has no cracks or chips but has a very noticable gouge on the left side of the forearm (pictured) The sling swivels are not noted on the Cody Museum letter to be included but otherwise verifies the original configuration. Action is tight and hammer stays back when levered. Half cock is functional. Insure your FFL will accept a transfer from a private individual. If a FFL shipper is required add $25 to the sale price, Shipping will be by USPS priority mail, insured and tracked for $75. Shipping to Alaska will require additional charges.
