This Smith & Wesson U.S. Army Model 1917 is a 6 shot double action revolver in .45 Cal. It has a 5.5 inch barrel. A blade front sight and an integral notch rear sight. The grip is a smooth hardwood. U.S. Army Model 1917 and the serial number is stamped on the bottom of the frame. "United States Property" is stamped on the bottom of the barrel. .45 ACP
