Payment Types Accepted: M/C, VISA, American Express and Discover Description: " This scarce Austrian Model 1854 13.9mm caliber percussion Jagestutzen rifle still has its original separate ramrod with it. The overall length is approx. 43.5"". The 28"" octagon to round barrel has a very good dark bore with strong rifling. The final 4.5"" of the barrel is round so that a Lorenz saber blade socket bayonet can be fitted. The lock plate has a small Austrian eagle at the tail and 860 (1860) in the center. All the metal has a brown patina. The stock is good with light to moderate issue wear and with a .75"" chip on the left where it joins the nosecap, a crack in the same area around the barrel key, and a 5.5"" age crack on the right from the nosecap toward the front swivel. The swivels are present. The 29"" separate ramrod has a wood ball tip (missing a little wood where it joins the rod) and a standard Lorenz type head. The action functions correctly. When is the last time you saw a Model 1854 Jagerstutzen rifle with its original separate ramrod? SOLD Antique: Yes |
