An extremely rare combination of upgrades makes this shotgun a highly sought-after collector firearm. This Iver Johnson is one of approximately 500 models of the Skeet-er produced in .410 ga./bore 3\" chamber with serial number S26042. Making it even more rare, this model was more of a special high-end custom side-by-side shotgun with the upgraded factory installed \"JOSTAM MFG CO. ANTI-FLINCH RECOIL PAD\" and has a pistol grip configured walnut stock that was only offered for upgrades during production from 1931-1943. This elite Iver Johnson model has select fancy figured hand checkered lacquer finished high grade American black walnut pistol grip with the famous owls head cap. The special skeet .410 bored side-by-side barrels are very shiny, the shotgun has a boxlock action, thumb safety on the upper tang, barrel and lug forged as one-piece, proofed, then joined together for a \"perfect match\". This high-end manufactured dual-trigger shotgun has a matte solid rib with a Lyman #10 Ivory front bead. This shotgun is in excellent shape and well maintained in a display case for many years. The blued finishing is excellent and the wood has few marks as shown in the photographs. An amazing firearm awaiting the next hunt, skeet shoot, competition, or bragging right for the elite collector.
