Serial #1J41819, .38 Special, 1 7/8 inch barrel with a bright, excellent bore. This is the Bodyguard Model 49 revolver manufactured by Smith & Wesson featuring the shrouded hammer frame. The double action revolver is in excellent, like new in the box condition retaining about 99% original blue finish with only very slight turn mark on the cylinder. The service trigger and hammer retain robust case-hardened colors. The checkered walnut round butt factory Magna grips with silver S&W medallions rate excellent. This fixed sight revolver functions mechanically and correctly times and locks up. It comes in a factory box with no end label, unopened cleaning kit, manual and paperwork. An excellent example of this great self defense revolver that would make a welcome addition to a S&W collector. FFL
