A Scarce and Early U.S. Civil War Sharps New Model 1859 Rifle with a 36 Inch Barrel and Bayonet lug At Muzzle in Fine Untouched Condition. Serial # 37756 with all matching numbers. Only 600 were made. All original and complete. The rifle has fine metal throughout with very clear markings. It has the scarce 36 inch barrel with a bayonet lug at the muzzle. All of the metal on the gun has an even and natural darkening chocolate brown patina on it. The original wood is fine throughout with a nice grain to it with some areas having a burl in them. The rifle has a fine bore and action. These 36 inch barrel Sharps Rifles saw heavy action in the Civil War. This Is A Very Scarce U.S. Civil War Sharps Rifle To Find Especially In This Fine Untouched Condition. It Would Be a Fine Addition To Any Collection!
