Description:
Colt 1911A1, chambered in .45 Auto. This Colt was originally manufactured in 1918 as indicated by the serial number on the right side of the frame. At some point this 1911 was taken in to the Rock Island Arsenal and reworked into a 1911A1. RIA is visible on the right side of the frame next to the trigger. On the left side of the frame, below the barrel, is the words United States Property. .45 Auto
