Description:
A solid French M1916 bolt action rifle chambered for the 8mm Lebel round, and used in WWI, WWII Aftican foreign Legion and Viet Nam.. Overall length is about 51 1/2" long with round bafrrel of 31 1/2" with strong rifling and some corrsion down in the grooves from wartime corrosive ammo. The metal is bliued with a few speckles of pits near the breech behind the bolt body.Action is good.,and a complete gun. These had seen wartime service in several wars and are a testiment to their solidness. When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
