Description:
Offered is a very nice Colt Single Action Army Revolver in 45 Colt caliber and 7 11/2" barrel.  The serial number, 73727 (1881) is found on the barrel, cylinder, frame, trigger guard and butt strap.  The three line patent is followed by "US".  Additional markings include the initials D. F. C. above the frame serial number and on the cyllinder. It has a bullseye ejector head`, and the initials "P" & "G" on major parts. One piece walnut grips have partially visible coartouche & date.  
Included with the revolver is a Mwxican double loop holster w/borders and brass bead decoration.  Top loop is marked "R. S. Giles? Virginia? Mont. Terr."` R. S. Giles  is a contemporary maker of fine antique appearing holsters.
barrels and cylinder have faded bllue apearance. Frame and grip straps have a lightly cleaned appearance with scattered spots of pitting and small dents.  Sanded grips have an oil darkened appearance showing heavy wear with rounded edges, chips and small dents. The action is in time and operates smoothly.  The ejector spring is a brass replacement.  Dark bore surfaces with clean distinct rifling and no pitting. This gun should shoot very well with black powder loads.
