It came from a small "local" museum in South Carolina. There was a tag attached that was hand labeled "PVT. John Lyon/South Carolina/2nd Cavalry Regiment/Company I/Edgefield Hussars". The tag was no longer with the revolver this time. Previous owners do not know what happened to it. I do have a copy of the tag from my records but the original seems to be lost. There is also a few pages of history on the Edgefield Hussars. Condition: strong rifling with scattered oxidation, iron is gun metal gray overall, 70% cylinder scene, trigger guard is smooth mustard color, grips are excellent with a small flat spot where the inspector's mark should be, excellent mechanically, excellent marks, holster shows its age but is still solid.
