On Hold Sale Pending Joseph Manton and his brother John are considered founders of the modern London gun trade. The 35.5" octagon to round barrel appears to be about .80 caliber is a smooth bore Fowler and is marked London on the flat near the breach. The Wood stock appears to be walnut and is in good condition. The functioning percussion lock is marked Manton. Metal parts have a smooth grey brown appearance.
