Description:
Welcome to Harrisburg Bass Pro Shops. Here is an International Harvester M1 Garand. This Canadian invented, American classic is chambered in 30 M1, 30-06 Springfield. The International Harvester's were Post-WW2 and made for the Korean War. According to research, this one was most likely produced between 1953-1954. The parkerized finish to the metal is virtually gone and is in the white. The stock has many knicks and dings in it. This rifle evidentlly has some story to tell. The bore is surprisingly in decent shape and would be classified as shooter grade. The action is very smooth and everything functions. There is no visible date on the barrel to determine year of production. On the left side of the barrel, there is a discreet import mark. It appears that it was imported out of Ethiopia. Presumambly the rifle was in US service and after the Korean War was sold as surplus to Ethiopia either late 50's to 60's. It has a rack number painted on the stock. 30m1.
