SUPERIOR IMPERIAL GERMAN PINFIRE 16 GA./.577 CAL. SIDE X SIDE HAMMER COMBINATION GUN CIRCA 1870. 27 ½” barrels with the left a Damascus 16 gauge shotgun and the right a fluid steel .577 rifled barrel. Folding two leaf rear sight and windage front. Sling swivels. No maker signature with a single German proof (diamond/s) on underside of rifle barrel. Lock plates, hammers and frame finely scroll engraved. Stock with checkered wrist and German horn pistol grip. Double triggers with adjustable set rifle trigger. Excellent overall with most of the original plumb blue finish on the barrels and French grey finish on frame, hammers and lock plates. Original finish on wood with some minor dings an two minor slivers missing from forward edges of forend. Perfect and very tight working order and excellent bores.
