This is an excellent example of a Star Model B complete rig date coded to 1944 (WW2). It surprises us to see this level of quality and finish so late in the war. It is all matching and has an "LPN" marking on the front strap, indicating it was issued to the German Land Police Force. It comes with two original matching magazines and a matching-numbered holster. The gun has retained about 99.9% of its original finish. The beautiful case hardening is still intact on the hammer. Comes with minty original wood grips. Minty bore, simply put it would be almost impossible to upgrade this beautiful example of Star’s superior craftsmanship. This is a unique piece of WWII history, and these are disappearing from the market fast as collectors are recognizing the date coding process. Legacy Collectibles sold a rig like this about a year ago for $1650...check it out.
