Description:
45 ACP; poor bore, good grips, 5'' barrel, Reportedly one of approximately 2200 M1911 pistols lend leased to China. Arsenal re-parkerized finish with Keyes checkered small ring plastic grips. Chinese markings appear on the left side of the frame, forward of the slide catch hole. Slide is stamped on the left side "ITHACA GUN CO. INC./ITHACA, N.Y.". P proof on top of the slide between the rear sight and ejection port. The frame is stamped on the left side with FJA inspector mark and P proof. Right side of frame marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" over the serial number and "M 1911 A1 U.S. ARMY". There is an IA Co import mark on the left right frame along the grip panel, and a faint ordnance wheel escutcheon is visible behind the grip panel. Risdon marked magazine with parkerized finish. Colt barrel. 8 rib arched mainspring housing. Original fixed sights. Thinning metal finish with levels of pitting over all. The bore is worn and pitted. Mechanically fine.
