Barrel length 6" and overall length 12". This is a five-shot approximately 54 bore. Frame is engraved with foliate scrolls. Frame has a sliding safety. Action works perfectly and grips are excellent with no chips or cracks. The top strap is marked Thomas Williams, South Castle Street, Liverpool. The bore is very good. Left side of frame and loading lever are marked “Tranters Patent". No Tranter revolvers of this variation are known to have identifiable or credible Southern or Confederate Provenance.
