....S O L D....This beautiful Swedish Mauser was sporterized to 7X57 Mauser. The action appears to have come from an unissued model 96 Swedish Mauser. The weight of the rifle with scope mount and rings is a mere 7 pounds. The length of the rifle is 41 1/2 inches. The LOP is 13 7/8 inches.The military trigger has been replaced with a single stage fire control, probably a Timney or a Boyd's, that breaks consistently at 2.25 pounds. The bore is shiny with sharp rifling. The bolt face suggests this rifle has been fired very little. I cannot tell what kind of wood was used for the stock, but the inletting and finishing work is exceptional. See photoes for minor handling marks. A very light weight and manageable rifle with a mild shooting but potent cartridge. A great gift for the wife or daughter.
