English Flintlock Howdah Pistol by Lacy & Co Massive double barrel flintlock pistol with .65 caliber bore. 7" barrel and 13" overall length. The top of the barrel is marked ""Lacy & Co London"". Lock is marked ""Lacy & Co"". Barrels are nice and sharp and have been refinished. Barrel has spots of pitting. Wood is nice and sharp and has been refinished. The lock has rolling Frizzens which puts the production somewhere between 1810-1825. Howdah pistols like this were named for the guns used in the baskets (Howdah) used in India that people rode in on an elephant. Very fine English Howdah Pistol.
