Description:
A Best Quality sidelock ejector 12 gauge game gun by Arthur Turner of Sheffield. This gun was #1 of a pair. It has 28" chopper lump barrels choked improved cylinder (.005") and modified (.020"). The action is fully engraved with English scroll and ribbons. The stock dimansions are 141/2"LOP over a leather covered pad,11/4" comb,and 21/4" at heel with 1/4" cast off at heel. The gun weights 6-8 and has 21/2" chambers. Originally proofed for 11/8 oz.,the gun has been reproofed for 850 bar to meet EU stamdards. The barrels are tight and on face with no play. The gun is cased in an oak and leather case with accessories. This is a classic English Best sidelock at a reasonable price. Built in the mid 1930s so it is C&R eliglble.
