Description:

Rifle is 7X65R caliber and comes with a set of 20 gauge shotgun barrels all included in a case. The engraving on the frame is beautiful and well executed. Deep relief engraving on the bolsters and some very fine scroll on the sides and bottom.  A special order gun with the initials "APA" on the trigger guard as well as an Elk escutcheon on the pistol grip cap and high quality wood. The shotgun barrels are 20 gauge for 3 inch magnums. 26-3/4 inch barrels are choked Improved Cylinder and Modified. Information included with this rifle is a copy out of the Gun Digest 1980. These guns were known for being low cost double rifles of high quality and very usable. Double rifles in particular are noted to be natural pointers with a long history of use in places like Africa. This Chapuis Express comes in a nice fitted case with 2 sets of wood and in near mint condition.
