Description:
Nice, lightweight Thomas Bland 16 gauge boxlock ejector, built circa 1930.  The barrels are 28" with 2 1/2" chambers and excellent bores, choked .000/.025 (true cylinder/improved modified.)  The barrels have losses to the bluing here and there, and would benefit from a proper reblue.  The gun locks up tight and is on face.  The ejectors are strong and in time.  The receiver has the maker's name surrounded by simple border engraving.  The fore-end has an Anson push-rod release.  The figured stock measures 1 1/2" x 2 1/8" x 14 1/2" including a pad.  There is slight cast off.  The weight is 6 lbs 2 oz.  Overall a very good little upland double.
