Description:
For the collector who demands the very best- Made in 1924 on a #3 frame with two factory original sets of 32" Titanic barrels and 2 forends (both numbered to the gun and numbered 1 & 2). This is easily the very finest Steel barreled big bore DHE I have handled and most certainly the very finest of its kind. A very rare gun with just about 30 made in total and this is most certainly the only factory original 2 barrel set. The gun made with ejectors, double triggers, capped pistol grip buttstock with original skeleton buttplate. The gun is mounted with finely figured walnut stocks and engraved in typical for the era DHE Grade pattern with pheasants on the floor plate.
This gun remains in near mint original condition and is totally original and untouched throughout. The gun retains virtually all of the original barrel blue of both sets of barrels. The receiver retains more than 97% dark and bold original case color. Stocks are sound and retain more than 97% original finish with only minor handling marks. The buttplate retains about 40% original blue. Trigger guard retains more than 95% original blue. Gun was fired but only very very little. The gun is in absolutely cherry all original condition. There is no PGCA research letter available on this gun though I will personally guarantee the gun to be factory original in all aspects.
