"Beautiful Cased Nimschke Engraved Smith & Wesson No. 2 Army. Fantastic example of a L.D. Nimschke engraved Smith & Wesson No. 2 Army. This gun is in very fine original condition with 95% original nickel remaining. Pearl grips are excellent. The cylinder was originally gold plated and cleaned to bare metal. Engraving on cylinder is nice and sharp. Metal has light gray patina. Silver plating on barrel and frame is nicely tarnished. This gun was engraved by master firearm engraver L.D. Nimschke. In the book, L.D. Nimschke Engraver, by R.L. Wilson, on page 18, shows a pull from a gun that is almost identical to this one and shows a lot of the same features. This gun comes with period case and ammunition. Absolutely beautiful engraved Smith and Wesson No. 2 Army!
