Description:
This is a very cool Springfield 1903 from 1918 in USMC sniper configuration. This rifle is a "put-together" but has some things going for it. The serial and barrel are both 1918 examples. More notably, this is an original and correct Weaver A5 scope, and properly seated on original Mann Niedner mounts. It has a proper National Match checkered buttplate. It's a Springfield buttplate with trap door. WW2 era handguard that has been milled down. It has a WW1 era bolt but the bolt was parkerized for WW2. The scope has nice, clear optics with a crosshair reticle. The stock is in excellent shape but was likely sanded a little as the re-work cartouche has lost its texture. The bore has some rifling left but is heavily pitted.
