New items added daily! Description: This is what could be a very rare DWM Model 1928 Dutch Navy Luger. The 1928 Dutch Navy DWM model was made specifically for military sales to the Dutch Navy. Even though the Dutch Army and the Dutch Naval Air Service had officially adopted the Luger, it was not until 1928 that the rank and file Dutch Navy did so. They are characterized by having no grip safety, DWM on the toggle, a safety marked "Rust", and having only "Crown U" proofs. There is also what looks to be a poorly struck unit marking on the left side of the frame. This one is chambered in .30 Luger. Although most of its characteristics lead us to believe that this is in fact a 1928 Dutch Navy Luger, the serial number is a bit off from other known examples, and it is chambered in .30 Luger. For this reason, we cannot say for sure that it is indeed one of these rare guns. We had some difficulty nailing down the origins of this unique pistol. In any case, it is all matching and has retained about 93% of its original finish. There are areas of wear on the side plate, along the barrel, around the muzzle, on the left side of the frame, and some light wear on the front strap. Light pin-pricking on both straps. Comes with excellent un-numbered wood grips and a blank wood-bottom magazine. The rifling in the bore is a bit worn with obvious pin-pricking throughout.
