An original Factory Letter would be advisable, to obtain exact dates and configuration however, this rifle appears original and well cared for these 128 years. Chambered in the 94's original caliber of .38-55 with a 26" Octagonal barrel, full length magazine and external guide rail screws located on both side of the receiver. It also carries the early assembly numbers on the upper tang and buttstock "118". These were only used on the first few hundred guns produced, to aid in the assembling of parts on these new rifles.
