PARKER BROS. VHE GRADE 12GA. 32" 1 1/2 FRAME FULL/FULL DUCK SHOTGUN. Serial number "235,4XX" and matching. Original in all aspects on desireable 1 1/2 frame. Weighs 7 lbs, 9oz. Original 32" barrels chambered for 2 3/4" shells have 95% factory blue with mint bore and original brass bead. Crisp matte rib with nice address. Same crisp receiver markings and V grade border stitch engraving. Receiver with 50% plus original case colors just beginning to fade. Forend hardware case colors faded to patina but 100% on the inside. Excellent screws un-turned. Tight on face with lever right of center. Forend fits snugly as it should. The wood is un-touched original finish with honest wear and nothing added later. Does have typical period of use scratches and original checkering show signs of handling but no signs of abuse or neglect so nothing but character. Wrist structure is 100% sound with no anomolies(often asked) so ready to be shot(which I will do later today). Beautiful original factory buttstock with 14" LOP from front of dbl triggers over original Parker hard rubber buttplate. Also has original pistol grip cap and correct shield shaped escutcheon plate(unsigned). Drop is 1 11/16" and 2 3/8" so fairly not too much. Splinter forend wood also original with matching condition and checkering never recut but with hairline in the typical place running from tenon to barrel hardware(does not affect use and is solid). Watertable and flat markings crisp with much original case color. Honest waterfowl gun or Vintager sporting shotgun that can be shot today with modern loads and still have a collectors item. Desireable 1 1/2 size frame too so not excessively heavy. Functions as it should with crisp ejectors(put a box through it). SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
