#16955. Army & Navy Hammer 450 BPE cased.
Turn of last century rifle with 26” barrels with beautiful bores and chambers. I have opened the chambers to accept modern 450 3 ¼ “ brass . The outside of the tubes shows its age with some corrosion that looks like it laid on some fabric that gathered moisture. Luckily, this is not deep and would clean up easily if someone decided to re-black the barrels. On one of the pictures, behind the rear sight there is a spot of corrosion that is deeper and would not be so easy to clean up. Rear sight is one standing one folding. Jones under lever action tight on face with 20% of original case color. Rebounding hammers locks in good condition and with good trigger pulls. Stock is not oil soaked and is in 85% original condition, LOP is 15 “ over the 1” pad. Forend iron has a couple pits on the bottom side and is missing a sliver of wood on the top left corner. The original canvas case shows its age and will need new straps.
