SOLD This Winchester was produced in 1905. The rifle's serial number is 239287. This rifle is one of 527 model 1890's that were fitted with the semi deluxe fittings. The Winchester Museum factory letter confirms the semi deluxe wood. It has the 24 inch octagonal barrel chambered for the 22 Short. The bore has good rifling with some light pitting. The sights are original to this rifle. This is a second model receiver with the all blued finish. The Stock has the plain wood with the checkered pistol grip. The stock has all of the original finish intact. The checkering is sharp with no damage. The hard rubber pistol grip cap is in fine condition The pump handle has all of the finish intact. The action works smoothly. The take down feature is tight with no play. The original barrel and magazine blue would rate a 97% oveall condition. The receiver would rate a 75% overall condition. The bolt has 98% original blue. The Inside lower tang has the assembly number 20958 with CF. The same number is under the butt plate on the stock. The butt plate has nice color cased finish. This is a very scarce configuration Model 1890 in very fine condition! These semi deluxe's are far more rare than deluxe model 1890's This gun being in the early style is a real plus for the collector!
