SCARCE MODEL 12 RIOT GUN, 20 INCH "CYL" MARKED BARREL, TAKEDOWN, #1666XXX, MADE 1955. Most of these were used as police or guard guns and this example shows typical use as such. The mechanics are excellent and the bore is minty bright. Exc. forend, butt stock shows some minor chipping at the front edge of the pistol grip bottom. There are also some very light and shallow rub marks on the left side of the wrist and barely visible marks on the stock to indicate this 12 ga. gun probably spent time in a vehicle rack or perhaps some other kind of holding devise. Similarly, there are some small rub spots on the left side of the receiver, left rear of the barrel and around the front of the barrel just ahead of the magazine tube etc. Aside from these surface scuffs, the majority of the original blue is retained. Exc. markings, solid wood, fine Winchester embossed hard rubber butt plate. Matching serial numbers on the receiver and barrel. These are getting hard to find.
