Bowie knife by the late Master Smith from the American Bladesmith SocietyJames Porter in the Scagel-style work. All Damascus fittings (blade-guard). India Sambar crown stag handle, oosic, amber, leather spacers, masterfully carved by Paul G. Grussenmeyer with a grizzly bear, citrine eyes. Blade is 7" by 1-5/8" wide. One-of-a-kind and scarce piece from this renowned knifemaker. James Porter knives are seldom seen for sale in today's marketplace and this is knife # 044 ever produced..
