Description:
General Specs: Winchester, Year 1933, .35 WCF, 8lb 11oz, LOP 12 13/16"
Serial Number: 425836

The last of the lever actions to be designed by John Browning, the 1895 was the first Winchester to use a box magazine located beneath the action instead of the more common tube magazine making it safe to use the modern Spitzer type bullets. At the time of its introduction the 1895 was considered the strongest of the lever actions and well capable of handling the heaviest military and hunting rounds of the day. Just over four hundred thousand 1895 of various calibers and styles where produced with manufacturing ending in 1940.

This fine example of a Winchester 1895 displays a beautiful combination of original factory blue complimented with delicate hues of gray. The overall finish is a delightful mix of factory and honest wear attesting to a gun that has been well maintained throughout its life. The gray areas add righteous character and there are no pits or corrosion present.

The rifle has a mirror bore with strong rifling, excellent screws and a Winchester crisp trigger pulling at 5.75lb. Stocked with straight grain Walnut, a forearm ending with a schnabel flourish and finished with a crescent buttplate round out this desirable package.
A dignified rifle from a past age, add it to your collection soon, enjoy.
