The bore is bright with sharp rifling and all numbers match on the frame, barrel extension, inside the slide and on the barrel. The pictures don't do the pistol justice due to the varying lighting present during photography. There is no corrosion or rubs or scratches on this firearm. The history of the manufacture of this weapon and the subsequent contract with Yugoslavia that began in 1922 with modification of the FN M1910 by lengthening the barrel to 114mm by devising a barrel extension to connect to the slide, and also enlarging the grip to accommodate the larger magazine created by changing the caliber from .32 caliber to .380 caliber. After the modifications, the pistols became known as the M1910/1922 or M1922 or fn1922. By serial number this pistol is a late gun, likely in the late 1930s. The pistol retains an excellent Yugoslavian crest on the top of the slide and writing in Cyrillic on the right side of the slide, meaning Army State or War Department. The left side of the slide bears the address of the manufacturer, Fabrique Nationale d'Armes de Guerre, Herstal, Belgique and Brownings Patent Depose. Buyer to pay shipping and insurance cost.
