This is a rare 1st year production factory engraved Remington Model 14 "D" Grade chambered in .30 Remington. These pump actions were seldom engraved and therefore quite scarce. This particular little rifle remains in good original condition. It shows honest wear on both the wood and metal from carrying it in the field. It is quite attractive for a rifle that is 110 years old. There are no cracks in the wood and it still has quite a bit of blue. The bore is solid with deep riflings but there is a roughness in the grooves. There original buttplate has a couple of chips as seen in the pictures.
