This is a good looking revolver that has matching numbers on the frame, barrel, and cylinder. The metal has retained 70-75% of the original blue finish with the balanced aged to a mellow plum-brown patina, and some silvering along the high and exposed edges. The hammer and trigger retain about 30-40% of the original color case-hardening with the balance worn bright, and the checkered hard rubber grips, numbered to the gun on the interior, are in excellent condition with only minor wear and trace flattening of the points. The original target sights are still in place, barrel lock-up is still tight, and the revolver is fully functional in both single and double-action. Furthermore, the revolver is accompanied by a 2020 dated S&W factory letter that lists a shipping date of October 17, 1902, to Schoverling, Daly & Gale Co., New York, NY. This is a desirable top-break S&W DA target model, and is in fine-near excellent condition.
