Description:
A Scarce And Very Desirable Early Confederate Civil War S.C. Robinson Sharps Type II Percussion Carbine In Very Nice Untouched Condition. Serial #1,288 on the lock and 2,684 on the tang. Mixed numbers like this are not uncommon on Robinson Sharps Carbines. The Carbine has very nice metal and markings on the lock. It is marked "S.C. ROBINSON/ARMS MANUFACTORY/RICHMOND, VA./1862". The barrel on the carbine appears to have original brown finish under a natural dark patina on it. The rest of the metal on the gun has a natural darkening patina throughout it. The barrel sight is missing. The original brass barrel band and butt plate are fine and very untouched with a dark mellow color to them. The original wood is fine throughout with very good edges. The carbine has a very good plus bore and tight action. This Is A Very Nice And Untouched Example Of A Rare Confederate Civil War S.C. Robinson Sharps Type II Percussion Carbine. These Carbines Are Very Difficult To Find In This Condition!
