On Hold Sale Pending This is a Unit Marked Model 1873 Indian wars era Springfield Trapdoor Army Rifle. Next to the US marked But plate is stamped F for company and 22 near the breach is either rack or unit marking. Full 2 band walnut stock is very good witg light dents. Full length 32.5 inch barrel has correct front and rear sights and a good bore. The functioning lock is marked US Springfield 1873 with the American eagle. The high arch breach block is marked US Model 1873 with the eagles head and crossed arrows. All metal parts are are a mixture of grey brown and blue. Both sling swivels and ramrod are present.
