Description: General Specs: Smith & Wesson, Year c 1891, .32 S&W, 12.5oz, Serial Number: 152943 This Smith & Wesson .32 Double action revolver 4th Model, sn 152943 was manufactured circa 1891. It is one of the approximately 240,000 top break revolvers made between 1883 and 1909. It is the standard model with a 3” barrel, pinned front sight and round nitre blued trigger guard. The Nickel factory finish remains at 99%, there are some drag lines and small areas of nickel loss on the cylinder, it is chambered for .32 S&W and has all matching numbers on the frame, barrel latch, cylinder and grips. The hammer and trigger retain all original case colors, screws and pins are in excellent condition. The hard rubber grips are undamaged and fit the frame perfectly. The barrel latches tightly to the frame and the action works smoothly in both double and single action, with trigger pulls of 11 and 3.8lb respectively. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and a few small spots of light pitting. It shows very little use or wear overall. These revolvers were designed to be simple, compact and reliable, they were often carried as pocket pistols and used little, it is apparent that this example was well treated but rarely used. An excellent addition to any Smith & Wesson Break Top revolver collection. This revolver is an antique and does not require Federal paperwork to be shipped to the address of your choice.
