Payment Types Accepted: Description: On Hold Sale Pending This appears to be a Model 1812 US musket made in 1816 but since no lock markings are visible I'm not sure if it's Springfield? Harpers Ferry or a contract musket. The but plate is dated 1816 and the only other marking is a stamping on top the breach (see photo). The full length 3 band musket stock is in very good condition. The 69 caliber barrel is 42.5 inches Apparently shortened during its period of use. All metal paets are dark brown with scattered pitting mainly on the breach near the nipple. The converted percussion lock functions fine at full and half cock. The musket is complete with sling swivel and ramrod. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
