Description:
This Winchester Over/under shotgun is a Pigeon Grade Model 301, which does not appear in the Winchester catalog for the North American market for that time period. As indicated in the letter of authentication from Winchester, the Pigeon Grade 301 was a forerunner to the then current Pigeon Grade Over-Under which was available on the North American market, the Winchester 101. It was designed and built exclusively for the U.S. Military market overseas though some were imported the U.S. and sold to U.S. Military installations. This particular shotgun was shipped to personnel of the U.S.S. Thomas Jefferson Ships Stores Office. 12 Gauge
